Obituary for Carmen Lara Fresquez
Carmen L. Fresquez, passed away on February 28, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Daughter of Braulio and Placida Lara, born in Nochistlán Zacatecas, Mexico; she was one of nine children. Carmen traveled to California after meeting and marrying John C. Fresquez in 1960.
Carmen worked at See’s Candies for 25 years. After retirement, she often would comment on her time working at See’s in particular the wonderful friendships she made there.
She is survived by sons Andy, Manuel, Bobby and David, daughter Celia, older brother Manuel Fries, daughter in laws Nancy and Sabina, and her wonderful grandchildren Raquel, Jonathan, Noah and soon to be granddaughter in law Trista.
Carmen had the best sense of humor and had a smile that would light up the room. Her absence will be immeasurable.
Viewing services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Garden Chapel in South San Francisco at 10am following with mass service at 12:00 pm at All Souls Church in South San Francisco.
