Obituary for Darleen Jean "Dolly" Marques (Corzonkoff )

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darleen Jean (“Dolly”) Corzonkoff Marques. Dolly died peacefully in her home at the age of 78 on Tuesday November 2, 2022, in South San Francisco California.

Dolly was born on May 4, 1944 and came into this world as 2nd generation San Franciscan to Walter and Isabel Corzonkoff.

Dolly was a proud graduate of Balboa High School class of 1961 (where the bunny hop was invented) and married her high school sweetheart Manuel Marques on August 4, 1966. Dolly had a long thriving career in San Francisco as a legal secretary.

She leaves behind her daughter Melanie Rivera, Son-In-Law, Adrian Rivera III, and beloved granddaughters Isabella and Sophia Rivera. Dolly is also survived by her siblings Marilyn Fahey, Sandy Gallegos and Mike Corzonkoff and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dolly will be remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humor, incredible work ethic, and was a truly beloved grandmother. Some of Dolly’s favorite hobbies and pastimes were reading, playing on her iPad, routing for the SF Giants, playing slot machines, watching endless game shows and court tv shows and playing board games with her family. Dolly was the most amazing dog sitter to her granddogs Mickey and Shasta.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Garden Chapel (885 El Camino Real, South San Francisco) at 11 am. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation made to the American Heart Association.
