Obituary for Doris Crociani
Mrs. Doris E. Crociani, aged 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2022 at her home in South San Francisco.
Born in Glencoe, Minnesota in 1931, Doris spent her early years moving around the United States with her father, mother, and younger sister. The family eventually settled in San Bruno, where Doris met her future husband, Bruno. They were married for 52 years until his death in October of 2000.
Doris and Bruno raised their family in South San Francisco, where she became an active member of the local community. She enjoyed volunteering at All Souls Catholic Church and meeting with friends for a weekly pinochle game. She also had many happy memories of summers spent in Lake Tahoe.
Doris is survived by her four children, Steven, Dennis, Cathy, and Cynthia, and their spouses as well as her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by family and friends for the love and joy she brought to their lives. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruno, and her sister, June.
A rosary service will be held in her honor at Garden Chapel on Wednesday, September 7 at 7 PM, following a viewing at 6 PM. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 8 at 10 AM at All Souls Catholic Church. Doris will be laid to rest at Happy Homestead Cemetery in Lake Tahoe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
