Elaine R. Fitzgerald of Grants Pass, Oregon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 86 on May 23, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1936 to John and Cecelia Bisso. Predeceased by her parents, her son Jay, and her sister Claire Ragghianti. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, R. Cleo Fitzgerald, whom she met in 1955 at a USO Dance at the Whitcomb Hotel in San Francisco. She was the loving mother to her children Cecelia (Steve) Barros, Andrea (Steve) Tellez, Barbara Ford and the late Jay Fitzgerald. A devoted grandmother to: Joe Barros, Elaine Garrigan (Seth), Danny Barros (Ashley), Shannon Ford, Caitlin Ford (Jordan), Peter Mayer and Giovanni Negro (Shelby). Her great grandchildren Ryan, Zachary, Iva, Fitz and Baby Cleo were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister LaVerne Klopp, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. As a native San Franciscan she was a proud graduate of Star of the Sea Academy, Class of 1954. She was retired from the San Francisco Newspaper Agency and was a member of the Western Conference of Teamsters.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 9 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Church, 700 Oddstad Boulevard, Pacifica. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission Road, Colma.
