Obituary for Geraldine Dorothy "Geri" Isberg
Geraldine (Geri) Dorothy Isberg of South San Francisco, California was born September 16, 1949 in Boston, Massachusetts. Geri was a caring wife, mother, sister and friend. She left this world peacefully on June 23, 2022 at age 72. She is survived by her two loving sons John and Jason Isberg of South San Francisco.
She was born to William and Dorothy Haley and spent her childhood growing up with her late brother Richard (Dick) Haley in New England. After graduating from high school at Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Boston, she met her late husband John Francis Isberg and followed him to San Francisco, California where they settled down and started a family.
After the passing of her husband, Geri purchased her family home in South San Francisco where she continued as a devoted mother. She enjoyed supporting her two young boys John and Jason at their youth soccer and baseball games, while also offering academic encouragement to them both throughout their high school and college pursuits. She continued that unwavering support of “her boys” until her final breath on earth. And, most assuredly even beyond that from her final resting place.
She loved to travel and spent countless summers visiting extended family in the Greater Boston area. One of her most cherished rituals on these summer trips back East were the weeks she would spend vacationing with family and friends on Cape Cod relaxing on the beach and enjoying her beloved lobster rolls and fried clams.
Geri enjoyed a long career in the food service distribution business where she most recently served as a customer service leader at BiRite Foodservice.
