Obituary for Irma May Stiltner
On July 30th, 2021 Heaven gained an Angel, and we lost ours.
Irma May Stiltner, loving mother, devoted wife and the worldsbest grandmother, passed away at home in the loving arms of her two sons and three granddaughters. She took her last breath in the place she loved the most with the people who meant the most to her. Irma was born in Virginia on January 11, 1938. She married her late Husband, Ferrell Stiltner, at the age of 16. Married 59 years, Irma cared for Ferrell and was by his side till his last day, May 18, 2013. Irma and Ferrell have two sons Danney Ferrell Stiltner, and Anthony Ray Stiltner. Seeking to provide a good life for them they moved around as a family and finally settled in South San Francisco. When Irma referred to home we all knew home meant Virginia, but Irma would tell you “Home is wherever my boys are”. Danney and Anthony were her joy and her granddaughters lit up her life. She loved them with her whole heart, and taught them all what love truly meant.
Irma started cleaning houses as a child which she continued to do in South San Francisco in the apartment complex that she eventually was gifted when the owner, who she of course cared for, passed away. She used her gift to provide affordable housing to her tenants, whom so many of them became her friends over the years. Irma had the biggest heart and would help anyone she could. She touched so many lives, and the ripple affect of her passing will be felt by many. You could always find her working on her apartment complex, patching walls, fixing plumbing, climbing ladders, and making updates. It didn’t matter how much older she got, this was her passion, and she poured her all into the apartments.
Irma was a woman of God, always expressing her faith and love for God to whomever would listen. Sundays were her favorite days, filled with church, dressing her granddaughters in frilly dresses, and spoiling them with her time and love, ending the night with family dinners. She would tell her family that she was not fearful of standing at the Heavenly Gates, and all who knew her knows she was welcomed in with open arms.
Irma is survived by her sons Danney Stiltner and Anthony Stiltner, her four granddaughters Nadien Cordeiro, Dana Bogle, Katrina Beights, and Cora Hahn. As well as her 9 Great Grandchildren. They are her legacy.
