James John Metz passed away peacefully, after a battle with cancer, on April 23, 2022. He was surrounded by family in the comfort of his home. Jim was a loving husband, father, brother, godfather, uncle and friend. He was taken too soon, and he will be sorely missed.

Jim was born in Long Beach, CA on May 19, 1944. His family moved back to Buffalo, NY when he was a baby. He happily came back to California when he joined the Air Force at the age of 18. As he jokingly told everyone, he turned in his snow shovel and snow shoes for sunny California.

Jim found his second home in South San Francisco. Jim owned Advanced Business Forms in South San Francisco for 49 years. Over those years, he felt blessed to have met many wonderful people and lifelong friends. He felt proud to belong to many service clubs and volunteer for the So. San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and he was honored to contribute his time and energy to his community.

He always had a smile, warm handshake and love for life. He loved to travel, entertain, work in the garden and go fishing. He was happiest when he was surrounded by loved ones and friends. He was a true giver who never expected recognition or repayment.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Metz and his daughter Jamie Metz, who was the light of his life.
