Obituary for John Peter Rupena
Born in Cleveland Ohio.
John had three brothers and one sister. (Joseph, George, Edward, and Catherine) all of which preceded him in death.
Moved to California after serving in the Navy during WWII. He lived in San Francisco.
He worked for ARC Electric electrical contractor company for over 30yrs until he retired.
He got married in 1963 to his first wife Patricia and later moved to South San Francisco, where he started a family and lived until his death.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and later remarried only to be widowed a second time in 2018.
He was active in the community as a cub scout leader and coached many years of youth baseball. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends. He was San Francisco 49er fan as well as San Francisco Giants fan.
He will be remembered as a loyal and loving husband, caring and devoted father, and a true and honest friend to many. His kind heart, friendly and fun-loving nature, and true respect for his fellow man was second to none and will be missed.
He is survived by his two sons, Joseph and Michael, grand children Christina and Vincent Rupena, nephews Sonny and Joseph Rupena, Nieces Marla Rupena and Sharon Currier.
