Obituary for Laura Duran
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughters on July 21, 2022 at 99 years of age. Her beloved husband, John N. Duran, predeceased Laura in 2007 and daughter-in-law Carole in 2001. Laura was a devoted wife to John Duran for 61 years and a loving, caring mother to Lydia, John, Cathy and David (Mary). Adoring grandmother of Jeff, Ethan and Riley, and the great-grandmother of Kayla,Taylin and Makai. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
Laura was a devout Catholic and her faith provided her the strength and focus throughout her life. She was a long time parishioner of Mater Dolorosa Church. She was always helping others and would do what she could if someone needed anything. A special thanks to Sharon who was mom's loving caregiver for the last five years.
Rosary will be held at 9:30AM at Mater Dolorosa Church, 307 Willow Avenue, SSF, CA 94080 on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30AM leading into procession to Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery for burial.
