Obituary for Maria Apruebo Arca
Maria Apruebo Arca entered her final home on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the age of 66.
Maria was born on April 22,1956 in Guadalupe Makati Rizal Philippines. She was the 5th child born to Silvestre Alamodin Apruebo Sr. and Florentina Bucato Apruebo. Maria is survived by her siblings Silvestre, Warlita, Teresita, Flordeliza, Melchor and Judith.
In 1976, Maria immigrated to the United States along with her mother and younger siblings. Maria met her husband Rogelio in San Francisco and they were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 1979. Shortly after, Maria and Rogelio welcomed their children Ian, Paul, Philip and Mariebeth.
Maria was a devoted Lola to her grandchildren Micah, Landyn, Zoey, Ava and grand fur babies Liam and Fluffy. She truly spoiled each of them with her quirky sayings and great hugs and kisses. They are so lucky to have spent the short time with her and can carry her memories with them forever.
Maria was everyone’s best friend. She lit up every room she entered with her positive energy and infectious loud laughs. She loved to dance the cha-cha and do the electric slide and had a love for great food. She was the most generous person and had the biggest heart that can fill up a room. We will miss Maria’s beautiful smile, her loud voice, her wonderful spirit and most of all her warm embrace.
Visitation and vigil: Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Garden Chapel. Rosary will begin at 7:00PM. Funeral Mass, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Dunstan Catholic Church, 1133 Broadway in Millbrae. Private committal will be held at a later time.
