Obituary for Mary Lillian Fanti

Mary Fanti, 92 years old, passed away after a tough battle with dementia.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother and Nonna. After being a stay at home mom, she went to work managing the central kitchen for the South San Francisco Unified School District for 25+ years.

Mary enjoyed cooking for family and friends; playing Bocce Ball with her beloved Egisto and members of the Italian American Citizens Club of South San Francisco and the Peninsula Social Club of San Mateo; spending time at their vacation home in Lake Tahoe and traveling to Italy and many cruise destinations with her husband.

Mary is survived by her children Cristina Dawson, Linda Brown (Lyle) and Richard Fanti (Maria Branco), Grandchildren Lindsey and Martin Brown, Richie Fanti (Taylor), Jamie Fanti and her Great-Granddaughters Charlie and Avery, Niece, Nephews and Cousins and many friends.

We want to express special appreciation to her caregiver of several years, Vina Fabi and to the caregivers at Pacifica Mission Villa, Best Hospice and friends and neighbors for their love and support.

In lieu of sending flowers, please consider memorial donations to the IACC of SSF or the Scholarship Department of the Peninsula Social Club, San Mateo
