Obituary for Melva Norene Clark Seever
Melva Norene Clark Seever passed away on June 1, 2023 at the age 100. Melva was born on January 24, 1923 in Olathe, Kansas. She is the beloved mother to the late Robert & William Seever; Joyce Bowcock, Gerald Seever, Richard Seever, Louis Seever and Vicky Abigana. Grandmother of 19, great-grandmother of 26 and great great-grandmother of 3. Melva is preceded in death by her parents Henry(Jack) & Alta Anna Geist Clark, brothers, Jack & Marvin Clark, sisters, Velma Cole and Lorene Geist.
Melva attended high school in De Soto, Kansas. She moved to Brisbane, CA in 1950. Worked at Woolsworth Dime store for 2 years. In February 1953, Melva went to work for Schlage Lock and retired on April 1, 1989.
In the past, she enjoyed playing bingo. She would play everyday if possible!! She was a member of the Brisbane Seniors Club. Looked forward to their Wednesday lunches & get togethers. She enjoyed going on their different bus outing to SF Horn Blower lunch, then ice cream at Pier 39 day complete with cone in hand! But the best bus trips ever were to the casinos. Those trips were the most fun she had in her later years. Which soon turned into her many memories. Great memories kept her going for over 100 years, 4 months and 1 day in June.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12th at 9:30AM. Funeral service will begin at 10AM at Garden Chapel, 885 El Camino Real, South San Francisco, Interment Cypress Lawn Olivet, 1601 Hillside Blvd., Colma, CA.
